Old Mutual Wealth changes name to Quilter
Old Mutual Wealth has confirmed that its group company name has changed from Old Mutual Wealth Management Limited to Quilter plc.
The company says the new name reflects its separate identity ahead of its plans to list and is separate from Old Mutual plc’s plans announced last year.
South African-owned Old Mutual is going through a major restructuring which will see the company split up and separate divisions created.
The group businesses will be re-branded under the Quilter name over a period of about two years following separation from Old Mutual. There will be no immediate changes for customers, says the firm.
In the meantime, the businesses within the Quilter group will continue to use the following brand names:
• Old Mutual Wealth (UK Platform/Life Assurance)
• Old Mutual International
• Intrinsic
• Old Mutual Wealth Multi-Asset
• Old Mutual Wealth Private Client Advisers
• Old Mutual Wealth Financial Adviser School
The group expects the first business to be renamed to be its Multi-Asset business which will become Quilter Investors.
Quilter Cheviot and AAM Advisory (Singapore) will retain their names.
Paul Feeney, chief executive officer, said: “Building on our strong 2017 results that we announced on 15th March, we continue to make great progress towards our anticipated listing as a leading independent wealth management business.
“We believe that we have a compelling investment opportunity and we look forward to listing as Quilter in due course.”
