Paraplanner options boosted at IFP 2011 Annual Conference
This year’s IFP Annual Conference from 3-5 October has new options for Paraplanners to enable them to make the most of the opportunities at the event.
Following on from the success of the Paraplanner conference earlier this year, new sessions for Paraplanners have been added to the programme.
The conference has been divided into four tracks on different topics to enable delegates to pick the sessions most relevant to them.
On Tuesday there will be an extra fifth track entitled “All about Paraplanning” especially for Paraplanners.
The first session in the morning will be led by Tony Wickenden from Technical Connection who will talk about tax and Financial Planning.
In the afternoon Richard Allum CFPCM from Paraplan Plus and Moneyscope will be talking about the risk and roles of cashflow forecasting.
As well as this there will be two Paraplanning ‘Bridge the Gap’ sessions where delegates will be able to have a detailed discussion with a panel of experts about Paraplanning issues. Pre-registration is required for these two events.
On the Monday there will also be a Paraplanner networking session for Paraplanners to meet their peers. Many Paraplanners have spoken about limited chances to meet other Paraplanners within their work so this is aimed at them.
Michael Dyke, Paraplanner at Buckle Green and Partners, said: “It is good that the profession is now recognising Paraplanners in their own right, with the IFP at the forefront of this change.
“The skillset required to be a good Paraplanner is different to that of a Financial Planner and it is satisfying to see that the conference will be meeting the needs of both.”
