Paraplanner Powwow events go nationwide
Many Paraplanner Powwows have been planned all over the UK in the coming months as the ‘unconference’ training seminars for Paraplanners gear up for a busy period.
The first one will take place at 3pm on 24 July in Edinburgh and will feature hosts Susan Pringle and James Macaulay “and a room full of Paraplanners sharing tips and best practice on topics such as DB transfers, costs and charges, cashflow and lots more.”
Organisers say the free event, at the Aegon offices in Lochside Crescent, will last around three hours and will finish at around 6pm.
A spokesman said: “If you are a Scottish Paraplanner then this is for you.”
The biggest Powwow event of the year, the National Powwow, will take place on 13 September hosted by leading Paraplanner Caroline Stuart.
Details are to be confirmed but the event typically takes place in several teepees in Northants over two days and often attracts more than 80 Paraplanners. Some delegates don warpaint to get into the Powwow spirit.
Also upcoming is Powwow NorthWest in Cheshire on 16 October for north-west Paraplanners.
A spokesman said: “We guarantee you’ll leave Powwow North West with some great ideas, answers and tips, all brought to you by Paraplanners.”
Further ahead there are Paraplanner Powwow events planned in Newark, in Nottinghamshire on 18 October and London on 27 November.
They will feature national 7IM founder Justin Urquhart Stuart, who will be delivering an “exclusive” session.
The London session will be held at 7IM’s offices in Bishopsgate, in the City of London and the Newark Powwow in Lombard Street.
Visit the Powwow website for more details and to book. Events are organised by volunteers but charges apply at some events.
