A leading Paraplanner in the Powwow movement has backed a minimum standard for the profession - but says it should not be exam based.

Paraplanners will come in from the cold today (Thursday 13 Nov), leaving their teepees to one side for a more conventional venue as they meet for the latest in a series of increasingly popular conferences.

Paraplanning must continue to move towards being a recognised career with a minimum level of qualification established, a CFP professional and Paraplanning firm co-owner says.

A movement to bring together Paraplanners to share knowledge and ideas and to advance the profession in the UK is gathering momentum, one of its leading figures says.

The emerging Paraplanner Powwow movement could be set to expand further still with the national event doubling its time next year.
