Pensions expert Steve Bee has launched a new smartphone app to support his JargonFree information brand.

Mr Bee, founder of Paradigm Pensions, launched the JargonFree brand in 2010 with JargonFreePensions which was designed to be a plain-speaking source of information for anyone interested in pensions.

This was followed by the launch of JargonFreeBenefits which covered pension compliance and flex-benefits systems. Mr Bee wanted small and medium companies to have access to the same systems and benefits which were previously only available to the largest organisations.

The app, available on Android and Apple platforms, includes a monthly podcast, regular blogs, weekly cartoon strip as well as many others.

It also provides access to an A-Z list of pensions which aims to be the most comprehensive source of pension definitions on the web.

Mr Bee said: “I have spent most of my career trying to improve the way companies in the financial services industry communicate, especially around pensions.

“While I like to think I have had a degree of success over the years there is still a very long way to go before the industry can be understood by normal people. The JargonFree app is another attempt by me to make that journey a little bit shorter.”
