Fast growing Financial Planning firm Perspective Financial Group has acquired Glasgow-based Phoenix Wealth Solutions for an undisclosed amount.
The deal marks the firm’s first move into Scotland and establishes a strategic platform for future growth in the country, it said.
Phoenix, based in Johnstone, Glasgow, will continue to operate with its existing team and gain access to Perspective's resources, technology, specialist expertise and long-term succession support.
The firm has changed its name to Perspective (Scotland) while the firm’s three Financial Planners, Colin Macdonald, Steven Fraser and Josh Kinning, will remain with the business, which was set up in 2001.
Colin Macdonald, director of Phoenix, said: "After more than 25 years of building Phoenix Wealth Solutions, finding the right long-term home for our clients and staff was our priority. Perspective’s client-focused approach, commitment to retaining our team and our Johnstone office, together with their experience of acquisitions, gave us confidence they were the right fit."
Ian Wilkinson, chief executive officer of Perspective Financial Group, said: “This transaction represents a landmark moment for the Group as our first acquisition in Scotland.”
He said Scotland represented an important strategic market for Perspective. “While we have taken our time to find the right partner, the acquisition creates a strong foundation for our future growth plans and we anticipate completing further acquisitions in Scotland in the coming months."
