PFS partners with NextGen for conference
Financial Planning trade body the Personal Finance Society (PFS) is to sponsor the 2024 NextGen Planners conference.
The trade body said the sponsorship was the start of a closer relationship between the organisations to support young Financial Planning talent.
NextGen is a training and support group particularly aimed at younger or newer Financial Planners.
The PFS called the conference, “an innovative celebration of the next generation of Financial Planning.”
Around 400 Financial Planners are expected to attend the NextGen conference in Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel on 11-12 July.
The keynote speaker for the conference will be Amy Williams MBE, a gold-medal-winning British Skeleton athlete, TV personality and motivational speaker.
PFS interim CEO Don MacIntyre will also speak at the conference.
He said: “The NextGen Planners conference is an incredibly valuable event, and the PFS is delighted to lend our support to the next generation of voices and new ideas. The two days will provide a welcome opportunity to think creatively and innovatively about the future of our profession.
“The PFS looks forward to a closer working relationship with NextGen, as part of a wider strategy to engage new talent, and improve consumer outcomes through the adoption of more holistic planning skills.”
NextGen plans to use silent headset technology for the event, allowing delegates to choose between simultaneous conference sessions in each of the stage areas.
Adam Owen, director and head of content at NextGen Planners, said the 2024 conference programme is the most ambitious hosted by the company yet.
