Pictet boosts investment team by hiring three senior managers
Pictet Asset Management has announced three senior appointments to its thematic equities investment team.
Simon Gottelier has joined as senior investment manager for the Water strategy, from from Impax Asset Management, New York. Here he was responsible for managing the Impax Global Water strategy and also co-managed the All-Cap Resource Optimisation 'Leaders' strategy.
He has previously worked for Veolia Environment, Deutsche Bank and NM Rothschild, where he began his career in 1998.
Mr Gottelier holds a BA Honours in French from the University of Bristol.
Peter Lingen has also joined as senior investment manager to co-manage, alongside Karen Kharmandarian, the Robotics strategy launched in October 2015.
He has joined Pictet from Swedbank Robur where he managed the Technology and Folksam Framtidsfond fund.
Mr Lingen began his investment career in 1996 as a senior investment analyst for Coller Capital Limited based in London.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Studies and Economics and a Master of Science in Business Studies and Economics from Uppsala University.
Christian Roessing joined the thematic equities team at the end of 2015 as senior investment manager for the Clean Energy strategy.
Mr Roessing has joined from Vontobel Asset Management where he spent over seven years, most recently as deputy portfolio manager for the Vontobel Fund - Clean Technology.
He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship, Finance and Asset Management from the University of St Gallen. He is also CFA Charterholder.
Richard Heelis, chief investment officer Equities, said: "These senior hires reflect our strong commitment to thematic investing and will strengthen our existing teams”.
All three senior investment managers will be based in Geneva.
