Platform One adds new office to support growth
Platform and SIPP provider Platform One has opened a third office as it looks to support further growth aspirations.
The new office, in Wimborne, Dorset, will host the firm’s back office functions and ‘engine room’.
Its dealing, customer support, compliance, CASS and finance teams will work from the space which can host up to 50 employees.
The Salisbury office will continue to host the pension administration team, while the London office will be the main hub for the sales, engineering and executive teams.
CEO Alex Cowan-Sanluis said the addition of the new office demonstrated its commitment to good customer service and product development while continuing to grow.
He said: “We’re continuing on our growth path at Platform One and have thought about how best to keep our teams connected as we develop our products and keep innovating.
“This new office, alongside our fantastic new employees, proves our commitment to offering a first-class service and continued development of our products.”
The fintech has also added four new roles, including two senior appointments.
Gary Ponsford has joined as a product manager after holding similar roles across major financial companies, such as BNY, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan.
Amy Shovelar has begun her role as a CASS analyst after 17 years at Quilter where she held roles within CASS and risk - the most recent being as a CASS specialist managing a CASS controls team.
Last year Platform One acquired fintech Gaudi and took over the £1bn of SIPP assets that were being administered by the troubled firm.
Gaudi had been subject to an asset disposal restriction by the FCA and entered administration.
