Quilter Cheviot boosts investment team to 167
Quilter Cheviot has made two appointments of experienced staff as it increases the total size of its investment team to 167.
Daniel Jolliffe has joined the company in Jersey and Murray Gillan.
This year Quilter Cheviot has recruited 16 new investment managers to the business.
Mr Joliffe joins the Jersey office from Rathbones. Prior to Rathbones he worked at Barclays Wealth and Close Brothers Asset Management. He will focus on Quilter Cheviot’s international business, working closely with the team in Dubai.
In Glasgow, Mr Gillan has joined from Brewin Dolphin as Quilter Cheviot looks to expand its presence further in the city.
Andrew McGlone, chief executive of Quilter Cheviot said: “Our investment team has grown considerably through 2019 and I am delighted that Daniel and Murray have joined us. We are already seeing the positive contribution that some of our earlier hires are having to the overall growth of the business and I look forward to welcoming others in the New Year.”
In 2019, Quilter Cheviot has hired new investment managers at 10 of the firm’s offices, with the company announcing in July that it plans to open a 14th office in Leeds.
Quilter Cheviot is part part of discretionary investment firm Quilter plc. The firm is based in 12 locations across the UK, Jersey and Ireland and has funds under management of £24bn.
The group includes Quilter Financial Planning (previously Intrinsic), Quilter Private Client Advisers (previously Old Mutual Wealth Private Client Advisers) and Quilter Financial Adviser School.
