IFA consolidator firm Radiant Financial Group has acquired Irvine Financial Services, Landmark Financial Planning and Andrew Gibbs IFA for undisclosed sums.
The deals add a combined £325m in assets under advice, taking the firm’s total assets to £1.3bn.
Barnstaple-based Irvine Financial Services brings £136m in assets along with eight members of staff, including three financial advisers.
Oldham-based Landmark Financial Planning brings £98m in assets to Radiant, along with six staff members including three financial advisers.
Andrew Gibbs IFA, based in Henley-in-Arden, brings £91m in assets under advice to the consolidator.
Eric Mowinski, diirector at Landmark Financial Planning, said: “We chose Radiant because we wanted to ensure continuity for our clients and staff.
“Our advisers wanted to stay independent without having to force clients into predetermined investment propositions. The process of agreeing a deal and implementation was handled very professionally.”
These latest deals take Radiant’s staff numbers to 130.
Simon Cogman-Hellier, CEO at Radiant Financial Group, said: “We’re delighted that Irvine Financial Services, Landmark Financial Planning and Andrew Gibbs IFA have chosen to partner with us. We believe they are an excellent cultural fit in helping us provide client-centric advice and exceptional delivery.”
“We’re also really excited to start working with their team of advisers and support staff. One of our key measures of success in an M&A deal is whether we retain all the staff following the acquisition and whether we’re helping the new team to really thrive. We aren’t interested in acquiring businesses simply for the assets they advise on.”
He said the firm continues to look for more acquisitions.
Aberdeen-based AMLP Financial Planning was founded in September 1979 and was previously known as Andrew McIlraith Life & Pensions Limited. Founder Andrew McIlraith left the firm in October 2019.
Perth-based GS Financial Services was founded by George Stubbs in 1976 and has offices in Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Falkirk.
Radiant was established in November 2020, by former Old Mutual vice-chairman and Skandia CEO Peter Mann and insurance industry heavyweight Simon Cogman-Hellier, with the intention of growing through the acquisition of financial advisory businesses.
