Record IFP conference turnout to include 75 from overseas
Seventy-five delegates from overseas are heading to the IFP Annual Conference this year as part of a record turnout of 420.
Guests from countries such as Ireland, South Africa and Australia have booked in for the UK’s biggest Financial Planning event. Total attendance overall looks set to top 600.
The three-day event begins on 5 October, with the theme of ‘Connecting the Pieces’, based on the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Damien Rylett, IFP Conference Chairman, said: “There really is something for everyone in this year’s programme. I’m excited that our new conference app will add a new dimension for everyone attending conference, helping us to engage with each other as well as making the most of the main conference programme.
“If you’re there, I hope that you enjoy your conference experience and find something to take away to add to your armoury in your pursuit of excellence. If not, I hope you’ll be able to make it to next year’s event.”
Dr James Rouse is returning as a keynote speaker to the IFP Annual Conference after proving a hit last year.

Last year the founder of Optimum Wellness Media enthralled delegates by explaining how they could use the human body’s natural chemicals, which he called the “inner pharmacy”, and explained how to use “the neurobiology of high performance.”
Among the other sessions will be an insight on how to deliver a great client experience from a range of Financial Planners including John Porteous CFPCM, Ruth Sturkey CFPCM, of The Red House Consulting and Gordon Wilson CFPCM, of Carbon Financial Partners.
IFP communications director Sue Whitbread said: “For over 27 years, the IFP conference has established the strongest reputation for delivering real value to attendees.
“The willingness of delegates to share ideas with each other is one of the different aspects of the IFP Conference. Being among like-minded people who are passionate about Financial Planning ensures a uniquely positive atmosphere.”
