Investment research and ratings firm RSMR has recruited Olga Baron for its investment team from the disbanded Wellian research team.
Ms Baron is the third addition to the RSMR investment team in just over a year.
Other hires include Naeem Siddique from Redmayne Bentley, where he was investment manager, and James McQuade making an internal move.
In November 2021, Yorkshire-based RSMR hired Dominic Brooks, ex Canada Life and Old Mutual, and Scott McNiven, ex Vitality and Santander, to support RSMR’s managed portfolios used by advice businesses.
Ms Baron will work on RSMR’s qualitative research and management of the RSMR Managed Portfolios, which are based on RSMR-rated funds.
Ken Rayner, RSMR CEO, said: “We are delighted to enhance our investment expertise and resources with the addition of Olga. She is clearly a talented individual and she’ll be a great fit for the team.”
He added: “These volatile markets make it more important than ever that we focus on our research and portfolios, thinking all the time of the needs of advice businesses and the investment outcomes of their clients. Olga’s appointment will ensure that we continue to deliver on these essentials.”
