Sanlam UK hires new portfolio manager
Wealth manager and Financial Planning group Sanlam UK has appointed Justine Colley as portfolio manager in its London office, where she will report to Charlie Parker, head of portfolio management.
Ms Colley joins from European Wealth, where she spent the last year managing the South African desk and managing solutions for discretionary and advisory managed clients. Before that, she was a wealth manager at Tilney and institutional sales manager at Mansard Capital.
Ms Colley said: “Like me, Sanlam believes in providing a high-quality, outcome-driven service that meets the needs and requirements of its clients. I am looking forward to bringing my skillset to bear and supporting the continuing growth of the business.”
Mr Parker added that Ms Colley’s “deep understanding” of the needs of high net worth individuals make her a “key addition” to the team.
Ex-journalist Mr Parker joined the wealth manager in his current role last month to help the firm expand the division’s business and maximise its global connections.
Sanlam’s group chief executive Jonathan Polin has led an integration strategy bringing together Sanlam’s UK operations under one brand and culture. Sanlam now manages over £13bn in assets. Mr Polin joined the wealth manager at the end of 2015.
South African-owned Sanlam was established in 1918 and has a listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. The group has a market capitalisation of £7bn and over 10m clients globally.
