Skandia upgrades risk appetite app for iPads following adviser demand
As more Financial Planners use iPads in their client meetings, Skandia has launched an iPad risk appetite app.
The app is designed to help advisers assess a client's attitude to risk and then aid a risk discussion. This can be done by completing 11-13 questions about a risk appetite and then the app will calculate a risk score between one and ten.
The app then quantifies what the risk score means in terms of a range of expected returns to help the adviser explain the results.
A benefit of having the app on the iPad rather than a mobile phone is that clients can sign directly onto the iPad to confirm they agree with the risk level. Advisers can also compare the client's risk scores against two alternative risk levels.
The app has already been in use on mobiles since April 2012 but this is the first time it has been available on the iPad.
Jeremy Mugridge, head of digital at Skandia UK, said: "Feedback from advisers has demonstrated the importance of developing an iPad version of the successful phone app. The iPad adaptation is incredibly easy to use and we've been able to utilise the larger screen size of an iPad to improve the overall user experience.
"This illustarate our continued commitment to improving the overall investment experience for both advisers and their customers; saving both parties' time and money."
The app is available to download from the Apple store by searching 'Skandia'.
