Stake your claim - Financial Planners told to go for glory
There is less than a week to go for Financial Planners and Paraplanners to stake their claim for a new award.
Financial Planning professionals have been challenged to build a high quality plan based on a case study to achieve glory at the Distribution Technology annual conference on 4 March.
Fellow of the Institute of Financial Planning Nick Edwards CFPCM will chair the judging panel for the award, set up by Distribution Technology.
Mr Edwards, an assessor for the internationally recognised CFP qualification, will lead the examination of entries for the Dynamic Planner® of the Year Award.
It will be presented at its annual conference on 4 March and is open to the over 6,000 advisers, Financial Planners and Paraplanners who are licensed to use Dynamic Planner.
Mr Edwards said: "These awards are an excellent initiative. We will be judging entries based on analysis and recommendations made, demonstration of good financial practice, clarity and ease of understanding, technical accuracy, compliance and structure".

Distribution Technology chief executive Ben Goss said: "Last year we saw a 35% growth in the number of advisers using Dynamic Planner to build high quality, risk based financial plans with a particular focus on clients approaching or in retirement.
"We are launching these awards adjudicated by expert judges from our Financial Planning Advisory Board to showcase what is being achieved in the hands of these professional and talented advisers, planners and Paraplanners."
Entrants are required to build a high quality plan based on a case study provided applying their own professional skill and judgement in addition to analysis from Dynamic Planner. Entries will be assessed against a model answer and each other by a panel of judges from DT's Financial Planning Advisory Board chaired by Mr Edwards.
The winner will receive a weekend for two at a luxury hotel.
The deadline to submit entries is 5pm on Tuesday 17 February.
Entrants will be provided with a case study and instructions, which can be found on the firm's website.
