Stonehage Fleming’s advice team won two awards, including Financial Advisor Team of the Year, at the STEP 2024 Private Client Awards last night.

Stonehage Fleming scooped awards for: Multi-Family Office Team of the Year and Financial Advisor Team of the Year.

The awards run by STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) recognise professional achievement each year.

The winners of the 2024 Private Client Awards were announced in a ceremony at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Broadcaster and author Susie Dent hosted the awards.

STEP’s Private Client Awards are in their 19th year and are open to lawyers, accountants, private bankers, financial advisers and trust managers worldwide.

This year saw a record number of entries, with 373 submissions.

Among the award winners were EY Private Tax, Evelyn Partners and Herbert Smith Freehills.

Forsters won awards for Digital Assets Practice of the Year and Private Client Legal Team of the Year (large firm), with Partner Nick Jacob TEP taking the Trusted Advisor award.

Other winners included:

• Elisabeth Squires of Britton and Time Solicitors, who won the Rising Star Award; and
• Nicholas Le Poidevin KC TEP of New Square Chambers, who won the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Entrants were asked to donate to STEP’s charity partner for the awards, Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) with the charity appeal raising £53,244 for ADI. Award sponsors were Evelyn Partners; Katten; Loeb & Loeb; Penningtons Manches Cooper, Plianz; Provira and Rathbones.
