Tilney adds ex-Quilter NHS specialist Planner
Wealth manager and Financial Planner Tilney Smith & Williamson has appointed NHS pension specialist Martin Jones to its Bournemouth office as a Financial Planner.
He joins from Quilter Financial Advisers.
Prior to Quilter, Mr Jones worked at Wesleyan and Aviva Financial Advisers.
He will be based in Bournemouth but will work with medical professionals from across the country.
Chris Copley, managing partner of Tilney Smith & Williamson’s Bournemouth office, said: “Martin has been specifically recruited to add additional capacity to our NHS advice specialism within Tilney Smith & Williamson. The demand to provide tailored and bespoke solutions to the complex challenges faced by NHS employees has grown exponentially over the last few years and Martin will be a valuable addition to this expanding team.”
Mr Jones said: “I look forward to continuing my specialist work with medical professionals, helping them to deal with the complex financial challenges they face, and building long term meaningful client relationships.”
Officially Tilney, due to rebrand as Evelyn Partners later in the summer, is saying “no comment” to the bid rumours reported by Sky News over the weekend.
But Financial Planning Today understands that Tilney sees the reports about a potential bid for Tilney as “pure speculation” after market rumours swirled last week following news of Royal Bank of Canada’s unexpected £1.6bn agreed bid for Tilney rival Brewin Dolphin.
