Financial Planner and wealth manager Titan Wealth has been named the official financial education partner of the Professional Cricketers’ Association.
The deal will see Titan Wealth provide members with tailored financial education and support via a programme of visits, educational sessions and digital resources.
Education will cover key considerations at different stages of a player’s career, including building strong financial foundations, making the most of earnings while still at the crease and preparing financially for sporting retirement.
The partnership builds on the firm’s involvement in sport.
The new division also works with sports clubs and organisations to deliver tailored corporate benefits programmes, including workplace pension arrangements, key person insurance, healthcare and wellbeing initiatives.
Mike Fogden, chief marketing officer at Titan Wealth, said: “Professional sport can offer extraordinary opportunities, but it also comes with a very different financial journey. Players can begin earning professionally at a young age and typically need to think much earlier than most about how they make those earnings work for the long term.
“Our partnership with the PCA is about giving players the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions at every stage of that journey. We’re delighted to be working with the PCA and look forward to bringing Titan Wealth’s expertise directly to players across the professional game.”
In January, Titan Wealth competed its acquisition of Financial Planner IWP, adding £6.9bn of client assets and bringing the firm’s total assets to £44bn. The acquisition added IWP’s two trading businesses (IWP Financial Planning Limited and IWP Investment Management Limited) to Titan Wealth.
The deal will add approximately £900m of assets under advice to Titan’s international business, along with 13 financial advisers. The deal remains subject to regulatory approval.
Formerly part of the Fry Group, Progeny International is a tax-led Financial Planning business with offices in Belgium, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Dubai International Financial Centre.
Titan said the deal should significantly strengthen its international presence, as well as enhancing its ability to provide integrated wealth management solutions to clients with international interests.
London-based Titan Wealth was formed in 2021 and has four main divisions, platform, custody, discretionary fund management and Financial Planning. Its Financial Planning division is made up of Titan Financial Planning Ltd (formerly Goldsborough Wealth), Telford Mann Ltd and Prism Financial Advice Ltd.
Titan has also said that it plans on further international expansion for later this year, as well as looking for more acquisitions in the UK and abroad.
