Trevor Matthews departs Aviva amid group leadership changes
Aviva is making changes to its staff with new appointments and departures from the firm, including executive director Trevor Matthews.
Mr Matthews, executive director of developed markets, will step down from the Aviva board prior to this year's AGM. He will continue in an advisory capacity for several months to ensure a smooth transition.
Mr Matthews has worked at Aviva since December 2011, first as chief executive of Aviva UK then in his role executive director of developed markets from April 2012.
David McMillan has been appointed as chief executive of Aviva Europe and chairman of Aviva's French board. He was previously chief executive of Aviva UK's general insurance business.
Nick Amin will join Aviva as a group transformation director, reporting to chief executive Mark Wilson.

Jason Windsor will join the Group Executive as chief strategy and development officer. He will also take on executive responsibility for Aviva Investors.
David Angulo will take on global responsibility for the bancassurance division, reporting to Mr Amin.
The above four appointments take place with immediate effect.
Khor Hock Seng has been appointed as chief executive of Aviva Asia and will take up the position on 8 March.
