SSAS administrator and tax adviser WBR Group has reshuffled its board following a series of acquisitions.
Caitlin Southall, currently director of SSAS transformation and proposition, has been appointed chief commercial officer. In her new role, she will lead the group's commercial strategy, overseeing proposition development, marketing and technical expertise.
Jenni Harland, director of SSAS Operations, will become chief operating officer, joining the board and taking responsibility for ‘driving operational excellence’ as the business continues to scale.
David Santaney, current chief commercial officer, will move into the newly created role of growth and partnerships officer, where he will focus on advancing WBR's strategic growth agenda, developing key commercial partnerships.
Martin Tilley, director and current chief operating officer, will remain on the board and assume the role of trustee governance and standards officer, focusing on governance, professional standards and supporting the continued development of specialist expertise.
Rocky Leanders, chief banking officer, will be leaving WBR to ‘pursue other opportunities’ in the coming months.
The restructure follows a series of acquisitions, most recently the SSAS book of Manchester‑based Financial Planning firm Carpenter Rees in May.
Other acquisitions include Standard Life’s £403m SSAS book in February 2025, as well as pension consultancy Censo the same month.
Further acquisitions include boutique SSAS administrator Wimbledon-based Bespoke Corporate Pensions Limited (BCPL), and Rowanmoor’s book of 3,500 SSASs. It has also previously acquired James Hay’s SSAS book.
Tom Moore, CEO of WBR Group, said: "We have clear ambitions for the future of WBR Group, and these appointments ensure we have the leadership team in place to deliver on our strategic objectives and support the next phase of the Group's development.
"Caitlin, Jenni, David and Martin have each made a significant contribution to the business and bring deep expertise, strong leadership and a clear commitment to delivering the best outcomes for our clients.”
Founded in 2016, WBR currently administers over 4,500 SSAS arrangements, representing more than £4bn in assets, and provides tailored support across a wide range of tax, planning and structuring considerations. It is headquartered in Leicester, with offices in Bristol, Bolton, Salisbury, London and Wimbledon.
