The Personal Finance Society's popular Festival of Financial Planning is set to return later this year and is expected to attract more than 3,000 delegates, making it the UK's largest Financial Planning event.
The festival will return after a gap of four years with the last one held in 2022. Smaller scale annual conferences for about 1,000 people are held in non-festival years.
The two-day event will take place at the NEC Birmingham on 18 and 19 November.
Registrations are now open for the festival which is free to attend for PFS members. Non-members can attend for a fee of £499 or sign up to become PFS members from £84 a year and attend for free.
This festival's theme will be ‘Imagine: The Future of Financial Planning.' The PFS says the title reflects a spirit of "innovation and collaboration" and the programme will look at how tech, changing client expectations and new ideas are shaping advice.
PFS President Carla Brown said: “We are absolutely delighted to bring back the Festival of Financial Planning for our members, and the wider professional community. Our teams are gearing up for an unmissable two days of top tier content across four arenas, featuring outstanding speakers and thought-provoking sessions that will explore the future of Financial Planning and the evolving needs of clients.”
There will be four "epic arenas", inspirational content, top level speakers, a members’ showcase, 70 exhibitors and15,000+ sqm of event space plus all day entertainment.
The full festival programme will be announced in June, with details to include a business and culture stream examining topics from leadership to succession planning, tips to engage clients, which tech can deliver efficient process and delivery for businesses, and advice and wealth management.
The PFS is calling for members to speak at this year’s event, encouraging ‘inspiring, insightful and engaging’ member speakers to register their interest in taking the stage.
The 40,000 member Personal Finance Society provides the Chartered Financial Planner qualification and other financial qualifications. It is a professional body aiming to build public trust in the insurance and Financial Planning professions.
