More than 6,600 young people have benefitted from the CII’s and PFS’ insurance and Financial Planning virtual work experience programme since it launched in October 2023.
The programme was developed by the CII and PFS in partnership with Springpod.
the immersive programme is designed to bring the insurance and personal finance professions to life for young people across the UK. It is free and open to anyone aged 13 or above, and available in an on-demand format.
Through virtual modules, quizzes, activities, webinars, discussions, and roundtables, participants gain foundational knowledge of insurance and Financial Planning, and the various pathways available across the two professions.
So far, more than 2,300 students have engaged with the insurance programme, while the personal finance programme has attracted more than 4,200 participants.
Having completed the Insurance Careers programme, participants reported a 27% increase in “excellent awareness of careers in this sector”, while participants of the Careers in Financial Advice programme reported a 24% increase.
