CISI honours 6 figures including Prestwood’s Etheridge
The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment has award six CISI Honorary Fellowships to eminent figures in the financial services sector, including Paul Etheridge, founder of cashflow modelling software firm Prestwood.
Mr Etheridge was member number 1 of the Institute of Financial Planning, which merged with the CISI in 2015. He was one of the founding figures of the IFP and has been a leading figure in the Financial Planning sector for several decades.
In the UK the CISI is responsible for the designations Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Wealth manager among others.
The individuals awarded CISI Honorary Fellowships are:
• Douglas Flint, group chairman, HSBC
• Jane Platt, Chartered FCSI, FCA Board member and former chief executive, NS&I
• Anthony Hilton, journalist (not pictured)
• Charlotte Black FCSI, public affairs consultant and former marketing director, Brewin Dolphin
• David Nicol, Chartered FCSI, chief executive, Brewin Dolphin
• Paul Etheridge CFPTM Chartered FCSI, chairman Prestwood Group
Honorary Fellowships are awarded by the CISI Board to those who have contributed “with distinction” to both the financial services industry and to the CISI. Honorary Fellowship carries the designatory letters FCSI(Hon). The total number of Honorary CISI Fellows is now 55.
Sir Alan Yarrow, Chartered FCSI(Hon) CISI Chairman said: “We are delighted that these six eminent individuals have accepted our Honorary Fellowship award. They have all made an exceptional contribution to the Institute and to the financial services profession.”
Based in the City of London, the CISI has offices in financial centres such as Dublin, Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, Dubai, Mumbai and Colombo. It has 40,000 members in 116 countries including many working in Financial Planning, wealth management and capital markets.
