IFA consolidator Absolute Financial Group has acquired Platinum Independent Financial Services based in Sale, Greater Manchester for an undisclosed amount.
The deal adds £280m AUA to the fast-growing group.
Platinum’s existing office and all 15 colleagues will remain with the business, expanding Absolute’s growing footprint in the region. It will continue to operate under the Platinum brand for a short period of transition to ensure continuity and support client integration.

It’s the 15th firm acquired by the consolidator since it was established as Absolute last December.
In July it made four acquisitions in the South East of England to add £134m in assets under advice.
Absolute launched with the acquisition of £1.1bn AUA firm Absolute Financial Management, based in the South East, in August 2025. The consolidator added three Financial Planning acquisitions, adding £255m in assets under advice, in April.
The latest deal takes Absolute’s AUA to £2.68bn Absolute Financial Group has been backed by a £115m equity commitment from Inflexion Private Equity Partners.
Absolute is led by chief executive David Carter, formerly CEO of CMS Wealth. Its non-executive chairman is Paul Hogarth, founder of Tatton Asset Management and Perspective Financial Group.
