IFA consolidator Absolute Financial Group has acquired Devon IFA HR Independent Financial Services for an undisclosed sum.
HR is based in South Brent, Devon and, according to its LinkedIn profile, was founded in 1998.
The FCA Register shows that authorisation for the firm was first granted in January 2017. Authorisation was cancelled on 14 March as part of the takeover by Absolute, the firm said.
It is the consolidator’s second takeover following the acquisition of South East IFA firm Absolute Financial Management, based in Ashford, Kent.
The deal for the £1.1bn AUA firm was announced in August and completed in December.
Absolute launched in August 2025, with an equity commitment of £115m from Inflexion Private Equity Partners LLP, Tatton Asset Management plc and the management team.
David Carter, CEO of Absolute Financial Group said: “We’re excited for HR Independent Financial Services to be joining Absolute - we share the same values and culture.”
He said the consolidator is in talks with eight other independent financial adviser firms about joining the group.
Mr Carter said: “We are currently in talks with a number of other firms and look forward to growing and strengthening our business with the very best advisers from across the UK.”
Mr Carter was formerly CEO of CMS Wealth. Absolute’s non-executive chairman is Paul Hogarth, founder of Tatton Asset Management and Perspective Financial Group.
