Advisers to be aided in making most of auto-enrolment
Financial advisers will be given advice about making the most of automatic enrolment during an online workshop next week.
Defaqto, an independent researcher of financial products, is working with the National Employment Savings Trust to deliver a webinar on Wednesday, 12 March.
The session will explore the opportunities and challenges created by auto-enrolment.
Advisers will have the opportunity to put questions to the panellists:
• Paul Budgen - central account manager, NEST
• Jeff Scripps - employee benefits consultant, Generation Financial Services
• Andrew Botterill - chief executive, Tenet Employee Benefit Solutions
NEST's Paul Budgen said: "NEST research shows that 9 out of 10 employers will seek advice, help and support when it comes to automatic enrolment.
"With up to 30,000 employers staging this year alone, automatic enrolment presents a great challenge as well as a great opportunity for the advisory community.
"This webinar is designed to help you harness this opportunity and aid employers meet their duties."

The hour-long webinar will be chaired by Defaqto's Wealth Management Consultant Matt Ward, who said: "Auto-enrolment represents a huge opportunity for financial advisers.
"However, while it does create a need for valuable advice and guidance on finding a satisfactory way to generate retirement income for employers and their staff, advisers must be able to identify the specific opportunities in order to capitalise on them.
"Our upcoming webinar on auto enrolment will explore the key aspects of this topic and help advisers understand the issues that need to be considered and what processes should be adopted when building or reviewing their proposition."
