Architas appoints co-manager for Multi-Asset Active range
Architas has hired a new senior investment manager to co-manage the £770m Architas Multi-Asset Active range.
Nathan Sweeney will work alongside existing co-manager and CIO Caspar Rock to manage the six risk-profiled funds.
Mr Sweeney joined the protection and wealth management specialists in 2010 from Thornhill, where he previously worked as a private client fund manager and was responsible for selecting funds across a variety of regions. He has previously held positions at AIB Investment Managers as an analyst and launched the AIB Multi-Manager Fund range.
He has a BSc in Science and Biochemistry and is IMC qualified.
Mr Sweeney's appointment comes after the departure of senior investment manager Stephanie Carbonneil.

Caspar Rock, CIO, Architas, said: "Nathan has extensive experience in Architas and our multi-asset investment process having joined the team five years ago. For the past two years he has managed our UK Equity, Strategic Bonds and Monthly High Income funds and been closely involved in the running of our Multi-Asset Active fund range since the start of this year. Nathan also has 15 years' experience in selecting funds and has been managing portfolios since 2003."
"The basis of our risk profiled, Multi-Asset Active range will not change following the introduction of a new co-manager. We will continue to pursue three levels of diversification, across asset classes, within asset classes, such as by geographic region, and across investment managers. As well as equities, bonds and property, we also have a significant weighting to alternative assets in our Active range, such as specialist property and infrastructure, which can potentially provide additional diversification benefits as well as income opportunities. This exposure to alternatives will continue within our funds."
