Barnett Waddingham unveils digital tool for businesses
Pensions consultant Barnett Waddingham has unveiled a digital tool for businesses called 'Clarity from BW.'
Clarity from BW includes numerous features for employers as well as a portal for employees.
The tool comprises three elements: Clarity Analyse, Clarity Connect and Clarity Control.
Clarity Analyse is designed to let Barnett Waddingham clients analyse data better and get a real time view of trends as they emerge. This includes tools such as Illuminate, GEM and Insight.
Clarity Connect is the employee portal, giving staff instant access to their information in a secure format. This includes tools such as 4me, Pension self-service and the BW Risk Portal.
Using Clarity Connect, employees can manage pension accounts, benefits and access educational resources.
Clarity Control is geared towards compliance functions, with workflow management to help meet regulations for scheme administration.
Sam Meldrum, managing partner for strategic business solutions at Barnett Waddingham, said this “refresh of our online services” goes beyond just being a visual improvement.
“It represents a transformative approach, blending cutting-edge technology with our consultancy expertise,” he said.
“In an increasingly complex world of data, the services within Clarity from BW help cut through the noise and deliver insights with greater efficiency and speed.”
The launch of Clarity from BW follows the recent hire of Nick Cooper from competitor XPS.
Mr Cooper was head of master trust propositions at XPS and has assumed the role of new of propositions for SIPP at Barnett Waddingham.
The launch also comes at a time when digital connectivity around pensions is increasing.
Earlier this month, fintech Origo – which built the central digital architecture for the pensions dashboard – reported connectivity with the hub was increasing.
Anthony Rafferty, CEO of Origo, said that more providers were coming to his company to ensure they could have “robust and secure” connection to the dashboard ahead of schedule.
The Pensions Dashboard will connect with live policyholders and scheme member data from April 2025.
