Early-bird tickets are now on sale for the Institute of Financial Planning’s ethics one-day conference on 26 April.
The conference, titled ‘The Only Way is Ethics’, follows on from a successful ethics and practice standards day held by the IFP last year.
The focus will be purely on the aspect of ethics and ethical behaviour in Financial Planning and is an opportunity to gain vital structured CPD ahead of the RDR.
Topics covered include challenges to ethical behaviour, ethics and investment management and matching investments to client needs from speakers such as Phil Billingham CFPCM from Threesixty, Prof. Andrew Clare from Cass Business School and Paul Resnik from Finametrica.
The Financial Services Authority has previously said it is keen for advisers to demonstrate strong ethical behaviour as part of their overall competence and professionalism.
The event is worth 4.5 hours of CPD including almost three hours worth of ethics and practice standards CPD.
The location for the conference will be the Warwickshire Golf and Country Club in Warwick.
Tickets cost £99 for members and £138 for non-members although these rates will rise to £125 for members and £175 for non-members from 12 March.
