Canaccord launches Planning office with senior hire
Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management (CGWM) UK has launched a new Financial Planning office in Norwich which will be headed by award-winning Financial Planner Hazel Bowen, the Personal Finance Society’s Chartered Financial Planner of the Year 2023.
Ms Bowen, a Chartered Financial Planner, has been appointed to establish and lead the new Financial Planning operation in Norwich which will provide tax, pensions and financial ‘life cycle’ advice to clients in Norfolk and adjacent counties.
Ms Bowen has been a Financial Planner for 12 years and has resolution accreditation for divorce planning and the CII qualification in long-term care planning.
She is a keen advocate of educating clients on financial well-being and also visits schools to talk about finance as part of her work on the Norfolk Personal Finance Society committee.
Her past roles have included as a Financial Planner at Evelyn Partners and more recently, at Coutts.
CGWM manages and administers £33.4bn assets for private and professional clients and has over 750 staff across 13 offices in the UK, with a further three offices in the Crown Dependencies.
The company says one of its key aims is to build a “robust Financial Planning capability” at each UK location.
Matt Phillips, director of Financial Planning at CGWM UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Hazel and look forward to her using her IFA expertise to help our Norfolk clients plan their financial future.
"Building a strong Financial Planning capability, in collaboration with our investment management offering, throughout our UK network is a key strategic priority for us. To have Hazel on the Norfolk team to spearhead our growth in the region and deliver sophisticated financial planning support for our clients is fantastic.”
