Chamberlyns becomes latest Accredited Financial Planning Firm
The Institute of Financial Planning has welcomed Chamberlyns as its latest Accredited Financial Planning FirmsTM.
There are now around 60 Accredited Financial Planning Firms in the UK.
Chamberlyns is a wealth management and Financial Planning firm based in Luton which has 70-75 clients.
Director and Financial Planner Michael Smith CFPCM said: "We applied for a number of reasons, we've been doing Financial Planning for a long time now, it's in the DNA of the firm that Financial Planning is what we do and we wanted to have that recognised by the outside world. We also wanted the differentiation from other firms and to help people understand what Financial Planning is all about."
Accredited Firms are those Financial Planning firms which represent excellence and the ultimate in professionalism. They must abide by the IFP ethics and practice standards and at least half the Financial Planners should be CFPCM qualified.

Mr Smith praised the IFP for how quick and efficient the process was and said firms shouldn't be put off by anticipating a difficult long-winded process.
He said: "I would encourage them to do it, if you do proper Financial Planning and you want that to be recognised and help more people then do it."
The firm is attending the IFP conference at the end of September and the Accredited Firms session on the Monday.
"I went last year and really enjoyed it, it was a valuable opportunity to get together with like-minded and leading people in the industry and hear some great speakers, " he said.
Chamberlyns has been working with consultants Brett Davidson and Tim Hale to "sharpen up its service" and next year would be working on its branding and marketing.
