CISI Northern Ireland branch gets new President
John Cubitt Chartered FCSI has been appointed President of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Northern Ireland branch.
A Chartered Wealth Manager with Cunningham Coates (part of Smith & Williamson), he graduated from Queen’s University of Belfast with a BSc in Economics and MSc in Finance. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Mr Cubitt has over 18 years of wealth management experience, managing investment portfolios for private clients, trusts, companies and charities on a discretionary and non-discretionary basis. He also has a keen interest in estate administration and probate.
He replaces Chris Taggart, Chartered FCSI of Quilter Cheviot as President of the branch as part of their succession planning.
Mr Cubitt said: “I am delighted to take on this role within the Northern Ireland investment community. I have inherited a strong and focused committee who are dedicated to providing topical CPD events, networking opportunities and collaborating with local education establishments to provide insight into working in the investment industry.”
Richard Bennett, CISI assistant director and head of membership, said: “We are delighted to welcome John as our new Northern Ireland President and to thank outgoing President Chris Taggart for his leadership over the past two years. ”
