Hargreaves Lansdown has appointed a new marketing director.
The new man in charge of marketing is David James, who joined after a career in telecoms, including as marketing director at BT for five years and then commercial marketing director at Vodafone for over three years.
He began his career with seven years in financial services, including as a financial adviser.
Hargreaves Lansdown says he has “significant experience and knowledge of all aspects of marketing and brand management and was instrumental in the launch and growth of BT Sport, BT Infinity Broadband, BT Mobile, Vodafone Broadband and VOXI by Vodafone.”
Mr James is also an inventor, having come up with the concept of the best-selling Jetrest travel pillow.

“He brings considerable brand and digital experience to the team, having been responsible for marketing the BT, BT Sport, Vodafone & VOXI brands.
