Hymans Robertson launches discretionary MPS
Hymans Robertson Investment Services has launched a discretionary model portfolio service in a move which sees it partnering with UK financial advisors directly for the first time.
The firm has previously focused on delivering bespoke investment advice to large institutional clients. The pensions and financial services consultancy firm has current assets under influence of over £250bn. It also offers data and technology solutions.
The Tailored Portfolio Service (TPS) offers advisers access to “Hymans Robertson’s vast institutional investment experience, rigour and buying power”. It will also provide a sustainable income tooling aligned to the model portfolios and incorporate Hymans Robertson’s longevity analysis.
A spokesperson for Hymans Robertson told Financial Planning Today that the TPS is aimed at regional wealth management firms that are typically owner managed. The service is to target wealth managers and Financial Planners with an excess of £150m in assets under advice.
The investment manager said that Financial Planners perform a key role in helping individuals meet their financial goals, and they believe their new TPS offering can help support them to meet regulatory challenges around demonstrating responsible investment and the potential impact of the sustainable finance disclosures regulation.
Stephen Birch, managing partner, Hymans Robertson Investment Services, said: “Our aim is to develop relationships with retail advisory firms that are long-lasting and we hope to build partnerships with those that have a similar culture and values to our own.”
