IFP conference ends with excellent feedback from delegates
The Institute of Financial Planning Conference has ended for another year with excellent feedback from delegates.
The IFP conference, the biggest UK Financial Planning conference, attracted more than 600 delegates this year and dozens have already booked for the 2012 venue to be held at the same venue from 1-3 Oct next year.
Keynote speeches by influential international speakers such as Nick Murray and Dan Sullivan were named by delegates as being particularly inspirational.
Special mentions also go to Fiscal Engineers, Dennis Hall, Robert Stevenson and Gary Tunstall who received awards.
In the evenings there was the gala dinner and delegates were wowed in the IFP’s Got Talent show, a male voice choir and other entertainment.
Sue Whitbread, IFP communication director, said: “It’s been great, there’s been a really good atmosphere, feedback from delegates has been consistently excellent.
“I’d like to thank all the members, the exhibitors and the sponsors for their work.”
Conference committee chairman Don Fraser CFPCM said: “I’m very pleased to see people have invested their time to come here and taken three days from their schedule to recharge their batteries.
“We’ve had a good response from delegates about the speakers, especially Nick Murray.”
As well as this was the announcement of the first 25 Accredited Financial Planning Firms.
One of the first 25 firms was Morton-Wilson. James Martineau CFPCM, director, said: “We’re very pleased, accreditation will be a benchmark for consumers, they will get to know what is the standard for Financial Planning.”
Next year’s conference will be held on 1-3 October and dozens of tickets have already been snapped up. The first 50 delegates for next year will be given a VIP package.
