IFP Scottish conference hailed as "by far the best yet"
This week's IFP Scottish Conference has been hailed as "by far the best yet".
Dozens of delegates attended on Monday and Tuesday at Norton House Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh.
Nicola Coates CFPCM, the IFP Scotland Branch chair, from Carbon Financial Partners, kicked off the event, which featured a range of expert speakers.
IFP vice president Alan Dick CFPCM said: "It was by far the best Scottish Conference yet and a real triumph for Kath Morgans and all the team in Bristol who organised the event.
"We had really positive numbers for both days which was really pleasing to see and initial feedback from speaking to delegates and exhibitors, both during and after the event, has been really positive. The venue was excellent and convenient to get to - much better than being in the centre of Edinburgh."

Highlights included the "outstanding" Phil Calvert and Alan Barr of Brodies, he said.
He said: "It was also fascinating to hear Andrew McMillan talking about designing and delivering a quality customer experience. He was a great presenter and clearly knows a thing or two about customer experience having been largely responsible for creating the John Lewis service excellence.
"All Financial Planners could learn from looking at other industries and applying best practice from these to our own profession."
The after dinner presentation by Josh Littlejohn, founder of the Scottish Business Awards and the social business Social Bite, was "inspiring" according to Mr Dick. He said: "Anyone that can cold call Bill Clinton and Richard Branson and get them to attend a little awards dinner he is putting on is clearly a force to be reckoned with.
"All in all it was a fantastic couple of days and I am looking forward to next year already."
