Investec makes new senior investment hire
Investec Wealth & Investment (IW&I) has appointed Hannah Dampney to the role of senior investment manager at its Bournemouth office.
The firm says she will provide investment management services to private clients, charities, trusts and intermediaries across Bournemouth and the surrounding region.
She will report to Scott Jones, head of the Bournemouth office.
Prior to joining IW&I, Ms Dampney was at Brewin Dolphin where she held the roles of assistant director (at its then Lymington office), investment manager and most recently senior investment manager during her near eight year tenure.
Before Brewin, she was a stockbroker at Charles Stanley.
She holds a Masters in Wealth Management, Investments and Securities from BPP Financial Services, and is also an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) following the completion of the STEP Certificate for Financial Services Trusts and Estate Planning.
Scott Jones, divisional director - Bournemouth, IW&I, said: “The Bournemouth office has been established for over 30 years and is going from strength to strength.
“As the principal wealth manager on the south coast, Hannah’s hire shows our ability to attract the highest quality talent.”
Ms Dampney said: “I am delighted to be a part of a growing team of talented investment and financial planning specialists.
“There are significant opportunities across the region, and I look forward to realising these with the backing of the team.”
