James Hay backs new CISI Financial Planning mentoring drive
Wealth manager and platform James Hay is supporting the CISI’s new Financial Planning Mentoring Scheme by offering its technical pensions helpline for scheme mentees and mentors.
The Financial Planning Mentoring Scheme was launched last month by the CISI with the aim of helping new people develop careers in Financial Planning with long term support from experienced professionals.
Mentors leading the scheme are highly qualified professionals who have achieved the Certified Financial Planner designation, a globally-recognised qualification.
Mentees must be members of both the CISI and its Financial Planning Forum who are looking for help and support to achieve their professional Financial Planning goals.
The scheme is free to join with a library of support and information available to all mentors.
Head of technical support at James Hay Neil MacGillivray said: “We all have a part to play in ensuring that the Financial Planning industry continues to flourish, so we are delighted to be able to provide direct support to the CISI community.”
Jacqueline Lockie CFP, CISI head of Financial Planning said: “We are very pleased to have a second significant technical support helpline for our mentors and mentees kindly offered by James Hay.
“It is a clear signal that James Hay wholeheartedly backs this initiative to help us support and grow the financial planning profession for the public benefit. James Hay has a team of highly valued technical specialists who will offer members of the scheme access to its extensive pensions, tax and trust legislation knowledge.”
Details of the mentoring scheme are available on the CISI website.
