Jason Butler draws on clients' lives for new book
Chartered and Certified Financial Planner Jason Butler is to publish his second book this year - on financial well-being.
The book, Money Moments, draws on “real life” stories from the lives of clients over his 25 years Financial Planning to illustrate best practice in Financial Planning and is due to be published in December and will be available on Amazon.
The book is aimed at consumers and promises to, “reduce stress and anxiety relating to money and increase your life choices and build long-term financial security.”
It includes numerous “real life stories, anecdotes and proven techniques.” Mr Butler looks at how consumers’ spending, working and saving decisions affects their overall financial well-being, and what habits, behaviours and attitudes they can adopt to improve well-being.
In the book he talks about changing mindsets, why readers might be richer than they think and how to understand what people need to do to avoid being blown off course by a “financial shock.”
Mr Butler said the book is aimed, “at anyone who wants to feel more in control of their money and understand the simple and easy things they can do on a daily basis to make better financial decisions and maximise their happiness.”
“The idea of the book came from the research I did to develop the financial well-being talk which I have given countless times throughout 2017 to groups of employees around the UK.”
“I wrote it to bring together a collection of relatable and relevant real life stories that illustrate the habits, behaviours, mindset and principles which the latest research and my own experience show helps people to maximise their financial well-being. As I say in the book, I want the reader to be a master of his or her money, not the other way round. I hope that every reader will worry less about money and make smarter financial decisions which help them lead fulfilling life.”
The book is available on Amazon from 8 December at £9.99.
Mr Butler, who founded Bloomsbury Wealth Management in 1998 before selling his stake two years ago, published his most recent book, on self improvement, called ‘Squeezing the Orange: Simple ways to live a full life’ in the summer. Mr Butler is a fellow of both the PFS and CISI but now spends much of his time as an author and speaker.
