Chartered Financial Planner Warren Shute is celebrating 20 years of Lexington Wealth Management, the Cotswolds-based firm he founded with his wife Nicky.
The influential Financial Planner is hosting an event on Friday at the firm’s Siddington, Gloucestershire base to mark the anniversary.
It will bring together a long-standing client base alongside professional connections and familiar faces from across the regional community.
The anniversary event will also support Bala Children’s Centre, reflecting the firm’s ongoing community involvement.
Founded in the late 1990s, Lexington has developed as a boutique, planning-led firm focused on long-term client outcomes rather than scale.
Mr Shute, author of The Money Plan and a regular media commentator, said the business has remained deliberately disciplined in its growth.
He said: “We’ve never tried to be the biggest firm, the focus has always been on doing the right thing for clients, consistently, over long periods of time.”
He said that over the past 20 years, client portfolios have delivered returns ahead of broader market benchmarks, supported by ongoing planning, tax structuring and behavioural coaching. In Mr Shute’s words: “True Financial Planning.”
The firm’s approach has been shaped by early exposure to cashflow modelling and lifestyle planning, influenced by Institute of Financial Planning founder Paul Etheridge.
Mr Shute said: “That shift, from focusing purely on investments to helping clients live better lives has shaped everything we do today.”
The firm continues to operate a selective client model, with relationships often spanning many decades and, in some cases, multiple generations.
Looking ahead, Lexington plans to deepen its use of technology while maintaining its advice-led ethos.
Mr Shute said: “We believe the future of Financial Planning is combining great advice with better systems, but keeping relationships firmly at the centre.”
