New IFP website receives good feedback
The Institute of Financial Planning has re-launched its popular website with new features and a new design.
The new website, which was launched just days before the IFP conference, is proving a hit with advisers.
On entering the site, it automatically goes to the planner section of the site rather than giving a choice between planner or consumer as the IFP found the majority of visitors to the old site were Financial Planners.
The consumer section of the site is still present and planners are listed in alphabetical order. Consumers can also search for a planner by location or specialism.
There is a slideshow on the homepage providing links to IFP TV, details about the Accredited Financial Planning Firms register and the IFP as an Accredited Body.
A calendar of latest events helps planners keep up to date with all the events in their area including branch meetings and regional conferences.
The IFP is actively encouraging more members to attend their branch meetings, especially ahead of Financial Planning Week in November.
It is now easier to keep up with the IFP news as there is a section for the IFP Twitter feed and a section for the latest IFP news and press releases.
Lucy Dolben, marketing manager for the IFP, said: “We’ve had very good feedback with people very happy with how it looks, the navigation of the site and how much better it is.
“We will be able to develop the site further in the future by introducing more tools for advisers to use so it can grow with us.”
She also reminded advisers that they are responsible for their CFP records on the site and should keep them updated regularly.
