North Wales Planner opens London office
Mold-based Celtic Financial Planning has opened new offices in Canary Wharf in London as it expands its team.
The North Wales company has expanded its team from three to 10 since 2018 and the company plans to take on up to four new staff over the next 12 months.
The additional staff will work in North Wales and the new office in London.
The latest addition to the team is Chartered Financial Planner Cleona Lira who has more than a decade’s experience in the sector.
Celtic Financial Planning director Rob Lewis said due to increased demand the firm was recruiting more administrators and advisers with the aim of reaching £100m in managed funds in the next year.
He said: “Opening new offices in London and Cleona joining will certainly help us reach the next level as a business. Cleona will also sit on our quarterly investment committee and be a big part of our strategic decision-making in the future.”
Mr Lewis said he believes demand for smaller, personal advice firms is growing since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said: “There is an increase in demand, we have seen it more and more over the last year. Big city clients want transparency; we are competitive and client focused but also have that feel of a family business and more people want that.
“They are moving away from the stuffy, pin-striped, faceless corporations that do not have their best interests at heart.”
In January, Celtic Financial Planning acquired the financial advisory arm of Widnes-based Halton Insurance Services, a move that brought £20m of funds under advice and about 100 clients.
