Numbers growing on Financial Planner's Twitter feed ahead of IFP Conference
As the Institute of Financial Planning annual conference approaches, now is the ideal time to start following Financial Planner's Twitter feed @FPM_Online.
Followers of the feed have been steadily growing since its launch last year and will be especially valuable in the coming weeks as it counts down to the IFP's annual conference at the start of October.
FPM_Online will be tweeting in the build-up on what delegates can expect, guest speakers and helpful information. It will also give information on any last-minute tickets available if you have not yet booked your place.
At the conference itself, it will be tweeting live from the conference and during key sessions, ideal if you are unable to attend the conference.
Later in the year, it will be helping to promote Financial Planning Week on 26 November-2 December and showing how other Financial Planners are promoting their firms and succeeding in their businesses.
Followers can expect to receive updates of the latest news from our website as well as member news from the IFP.
It also contains links to digital editions of the Financial Planner magazine and has online versions of the key articles from the most recent issues.
As well as for receiving news, it's a great way for followers to give Financial Planner their opinions on major stories or to say what they think of the magazine and website.
Twitter is a form of social media which has seen a surge in popularity in recent years and is a great source for keeping up to date with news and making contact with fellow advisers.
It is a microblogging website enabling users to send and receive messages of 140 characters. Around 65m tweets are sent each day around the world.
