Outsourced Paraplanning firm opens larger third office
An outsourced Paraplanning business has opened up a larger third office to help it meet an “increasing volume of work” and announced plans to hire more Paraplanners soon.
Svensoni, which employs 32 Paraplanners, said the new Ascot base has replaced the previous office for the area which was in Camberley.
The company’s main headquarters remain in Swindon Wiltshire, with a second office in Portsmouth.
The firm, which was founded by chief executive Tony Stevens in 2010, said it had a “mounting client bank”.
Sales and marketing director Karl Paul said: "We moved the office from Camberley to Ascot as it offered more space and a better working environment for our expanding team.
"Our admin support team is based there and with the impressive growth we have been delivering it made sense to position ourselves ready for this next phase in the business development.
"The company now has offices in Swindon, Ascot and Portsmouth and we have firm plans in place to increase our Paraplanner numbers at our Swindon HQ".
The company recruited its second 17 year-old trainee in the space of five months in September – the third apprentice in a year.
Mr Stevens has also warned lately, however, that a new Paraplanner apprenticeship backed by the Government will be a no go for many employers.
He applauded the principle of bringing young people in to financial services and Paraplanning, but said there were a ‘host of practical problems’ with the new scheme, he said.
He said: “I would view it as A for effort, but the practicalities really let it down for most employers.”
