PFS celebrates 105 new Chartered and Fellow members
More than 100 new Chartered and fellow members of the Personal Finance Society have celebrated their graduation at Westminster Chapel in London.
Some 57 Fellows and 58 Chartered members were celebrated in two ceremonies at the central London church built in 1865.
At the events the Chartered Financial Planner of the Year for 2022, Hazel Bowen, spoke about her career highlights, including her journey to becoming Chartered and receiving the prestigious annual award.
PFS board member Daniel Williams congratulated the attendees and spoke about how they are shaping the future of the profession.
PFS Chartered status is recognised by peers and those seeking advice as a symbol of technical competence and public commitment to professional standards. Independent research confirms that those seeking advice are more likely to choose and individual or firm that is 'Chartered', according to the PFS.
Becoming a Fellow of the PFS is the most prestigious level of professional Chartered Financial Planner achievement awarded by the PFS. PFS members must have completed the Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning qualification, and have acquired a total of 350 credits, which can be achieved via additional Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) units, or recognition of prior learning for non-CII (regulated) qualifications.
Anthony Ward, PFS President, said: "The time and dedication required to achieve the skills and knowledge to be recognised as Chartered or a Fellow of the PFS is significant, but so is the recognition that follows. These are exceptional accomplishments, that collectively help to build public trust and strengthen professional standards across our profession."
