PFS creates wellbeing hub for members
The Personal Finance Society has created a ‘wellbeing’ hub to help advisers suffering from the long term impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The professional body which awards the Chartered Financial Planner designation says the pandemic has heightened awareness around the impact on wellbeing.
It says while financial advisers continue to play a key role in supporting their clients, many will themselves be affected personally and need additional support.
The Personal Finance Society Wellbeing Hub which pulls together on demand resources to help including articles, videos, webcasts and tailored content from Perks, the PFS affinity benefits scheme.
The professional body says the move is just part of the Personal Finance Society’s work to assist members with their wellbeing as well as the vulnerable circumstances they may face.
Further resources highlighting the support provided by local institutes and Personal Finance Society regions will be added shortly.
Keith Richards, chief executive of the Personal Finance Society, said: “We want to make sure that our members have access to additional support as they work to assist a growing number of consumers finding themselves in vulnerable circumstances due to the economic fall-out of Covid-19.
“That is why, in addition to the practical professional support we already offer members to develop their skills, knowledge and network, we decided to launch a wellbeing hub offering support with mental and physical health issues.
“If financial advisers are to effectively assist their clients it is essential that they also take care of themselves and we encourage them to give their wellbeing a boost by visiting our Hub today, which offers resources to help them, their clients and others around them.”
