Financial Planning firm Finli Group has donated £10,000 to Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland two months into its new charity partnerships programme.
Under the programme, Finli has pledged to make a donation to the charities for every referral it receives.
The programme sparked the first £10,000 donation from the first two months’ worth of referrals, encouraging existing clients to refer potential new clients and generate a charitable donation.
The Finli team also hopes to raise an additional £10,000 for the two charities by taking part in sponsored activities.
In June Finli colleagues will collectively cover the 1,550 miles from its northernmost office in Orkney to its office in Arundel in the south of England. It hopes to have raised the additional funds by the time the employees complete the last leg and arrive in Arundel by the end of this month.
Andy Thompson, CEO at Finli, said: “As a Financial Planning firm, our purpose is to help people live their best financial life. And as a growing national business, we believe in sharing that success in a way that supports the communities around us.
“Dementia affects nearly one million people across the UK, with many more families and carers supporting loved ones every day. It is a condition that touches countless lives, often bringing emotional, practical and financial challenges.
“Through the relay, and alongside our referral scheme, we hope to make a difference to this worthy cause.”
It is possible to donate to the Finli sponsored activities challenge on Just Giving.
Finli advises on over £8bn of assets on behalf of 20,000 clients across the UK. The firm employs more than 100 Financial Planners.
