Mr Minter-Kemp said: "I have long been impressed with the strength and breadth of RSMR's offerings and the team's close work with fund groups and advisers to provide impartial, specialised fund research.
"At a time when we are seeing continuing concentration of investor wealth amongst an increasingly smaller group of fund managers, the professional adviser's need for impartial fund research in the area of portfolio construction has never been greater.
"The research and ratings sector remains in a growth phase and I relish the challenge to contribute to the company's growth plans, meeting the demand and helping to expand their impressive service level and competitive profile."
