Scottish Financial Planning firm to join Towry
Towry says it has signed an agreement with Aberdeenshire-based advice firm Conclusion Financial Planning to join the business.
Headed by John Pope, and assisted by his son Guy Pope, Conclusion Financial Planning has been providing financial advice for clients in and around Aberdeenshire since 2006. From its base near Kemnay, the firm has around 50 clients and £15m of assets under management. Mr Pope and his son will now be based in Towry's Aberdeen office on Albyn Terrace.
John Pope has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII) and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner. He has previously been President of the Insurance Institute of Aberdeen, and chairman of the North of Scotland areas of the Life Insurance Association and the Personal Finance Society.
Andy Cowan, head of wealth advice, Towry said: "Towry has been keen to seek growth opportunities in some of our most important client regions, including in Aberdeenshire, and as such we see Conclusion Financial Planning as an excellent fit for our business. We welcome both John and Guy to the team."

John Pope said: "We are thrilled to be joining a well-established national advice firm such as Towry. Through the extensive services and investment management solutions that Towry offers, I am sure that this move will only serve to benefit our existing clients."
Towry employs 650 people in 18 offices across the United Kingdom, managing £4.8 billion of discretionary client assets (as at 30 December 2012).
